What we did today!

Tradition is still in tack with the putting up the Christmas Tree on Thanksgiving weekend. Papa brought it over this morning and Blake and I worked all morning putting it up. Finally finished. Blake had a blank look on his face and asked where were all the presents????? So I drug out all the wrapping and dove in. I wrapped all the gifts that I have bought and now it's looking complete.

Thanksgiving

Well the time has come and gone. Thanksgiving was very quiet this year. It was at my parents home but it was only Blake, Nana, Papa and my parents dear friends Connie and Bruce. The meal was fantastic and the football was great (for the most part). Hope ya'll had a great thanksgiving.

Pumpkin Patch and Carving

Today was the day - Blake went to 2 pumpkin patches today. He went on a field trip to one and they were able to paint a pumpkin, ride on a hayride to see all the animals on the farm then they played games. I picked him up from school and forgot that Halloween is tomorrow so I took him to another patch to pick out our pumpkin so we could take it to Nana's and Papa's to carve. I have done this the last 4 years but I thought Papa could have a turn this year.......I won't mention that I'm dog tired with all the hours I'm putting in with the election just 7 days away.......So here are some pics - Enjoy......

Game Day

Well another game went by and Blake was the "goalkeeper" is what he calls it. I really think I need to work on his skills........But we still won......

A saying for the day.....

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed
to ever let you
down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it's harder every time.

You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose
someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never
been hurt because
every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute
of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

The Weekend

Cool Slideshows

Well the weekend has come and gone and it's been a pretty busy one. I haven't had much time for myself/Blake lately since my job has consumed up most of my waking hours so I did jump ship this weekend and had some fun. My brother's team (he is an assistant football coach) was playing the #3 team in the nation and we tagged along with my parents to go watch. EAC held their own except for a few mistakes really cost them the game. We really thought we had them the beginning of the 4th quarter - then the D team was worn out. They let a few mistakes go thru them which cost them the game. Even though we lost - it was still great to get out of town. Plus Blake got to see his cousins.....Then today after going to the office - Blake and I went the Shinner's circus - it was sooooo cute. At intermission we were able to go to the rings and buy a ticket to ride a pony, elephant or get a picture taken with the bear. Blake chose the pony. It was his first ride ever - I might have a little cowboy on my hands....Yeee hawwww. Then I took him to get a airbush tattoo - he picked the Superman logo. Now it's late and it's time for me to hit the hay - enjoy the pictures from this weekend!

I get to be a mom today

I get to be a mom today! I am having 8 kids over for a birthday party for my son who is turning 5. I'm so excited - we got all the goodies and he wanted to have a swim party. Instead of pizza being the favorite for food - my son wanted "Subway". So I ordered a platter and yes I ordered a cake. I usually make and decorate (show off my skills) the cake but being a political mom - time flew pass me. So a couple more hours and the show is on....I love watching him on this special day. I will post some party pics later.

Happy Birthday Blake! Mommy loves you!!

He is Caught ! ! !

YAY ! ! the rapist is caught.....Thank Goodness! Great Job to Phoenix PD......Lock that asshole up and throw away the key!!!

He lived 1 1/2 miles from my office - how scary is that!!!

First Time Ever

This was my first time ever that someone broke into my car and stole something. WHY??? Plus it happened right in broad daylight at my work. All the other cars was there but WHY mine?? They knew what they wanted - they only stole my briefcase (which had stuff in it) and it happened around the 4:00 hour - super crazy.... So I had to go round and round with glass company's because they busted out the rear passenger door window so hopefully that will all be done today....URGH - some people have NO RESPECT!!!!

"Football is here"

This is my favorite time of year (besides summer sitting by the pool). Being a retired football coach's daughter I have learned a few things down the road about football. High school pratices have started so my daddy picks up my son now and takes him to different pratices. I love it! My brother is deep into pratice as well. He is a junior college football coach. Very anxious to see his games as he plays a few here in the valley. Friday nights are completely booked now that football season is here. My daddy, son and I head to the game of the week that he thinks. Yay! ! ! Very excited! !

2 more days!!!

2 more days and he will be here for our fund-raiser. What an experience to work side by side with his office. There is so many details but it's very exciting as well. It's looking like we will be up for the next 48 hours working out all the kinks. The countdown has begun....Cross your fingers that it will be successful ! ! !

So much going on...

Oh my goodness so much going on and I'm treading water......Tuesday is the biggest fund-raiser I have been involved with we have the Vice-President in for the guest speaker and it's been crazy. I have to work all weekend to finish up all the details that the Advance team is requesting. It'll be a great event but there is so much work to be done....YIKES....

Then my son is heading to school on Monday. Now there is no turning back....He will be a great. So off to buy new sneakers, back-pack etc... It's just mommy who has the issue. He's growing up!!

I have never had to be on a schedule since he was born. I usually work from home in the mornings and then head into the office. But now he HAS to be at school by 8:30. YIKES that means I have to use an alarm clock and wake him up. I have never had to wake him up - he has been a little spoiled - but he has never slept in past 7:30 - but now it'll proably be a struggle since it's a have to now...Oh well....This is what mommy hood is all about.

Then we start soccer.......look out......I'll be a soccer mom! I can't wait ! ! ! I didn't want to start him when he had no clue about sports now - he is all over them. I have him in Karate as well.

Well - I need to head into the office - Yes it's Saturday but duty calls on the fund-raiser.....

PS - they think the rapist moved out of state.....I think that is a ploy for him to make a mistake and our law enforcement will catch him.....:)

Big News today!!

Big news for Phoenix and Phoenix area - but it's not the one I was worried about - we need the Baseline Killer/Rapist behind bars.... The snipper was hitting from 11:00 pm - 4:45 am so it was in my mind but far from it even when they came into my city Mesa. But the Rapist is still hitting around my office/work. Now that these idiots are caught all the task force of 250 officers are now on one case on not two - GREAT JOB PHOENIX PD, MESA PD, SCOTTSDALE PD, ATF, FBI etc.....

Serial Shooter Arrested

(08.04.06) — Phoenix police have arrested two men police say are responsible for the serial shooter cases. Six people were killed and 17 others were wounded in the random shootings that began in May 2005. A-T-F also is linking the two suspects -- 33-year-old Dale S.Hausner and 31-year-old Samuel John Dieteman -- to arson fires June eighth that caused ten (m) million dollars' damage to two Wal-Marts in suburban Glendale. Police investigating the Serial Shooter cases say they identified Hausner and Dieteman Monday night as the suspects they were looking for. That was the night after the latest killing linked to the Serial Shooter. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, was shot to death while walking near her home in suburban Mesa -- about three miles from the apartment where Hausner and Dieteman were arrested. A second serial predator that Phoenix police are hunting is the Baseline Killer. He's accused of murdering seven women and one man and sexually assaulting eleven girls and women since last August.

Joke of the Day

Old Woman Fights Back

An old woman is riding the elevator in a very lavish New York City Office Building. A young and beautiful woman gets into the elevator and smelling like expensive perfume turns to the old woman and says arrogantly, "Giorgio - Beverly Hills, $100 an ounce!"

The next young and beautiful woman gets on the elevator and also very arrogantly turns to the old woman and says, "Chanel No. 5, $150 an ounce!"

About three floors later, the old woman has reached her destination and is about to get off the elevator. Before she leaves, she looks both beautiful women in the eyes, bends over, and lets out a most foul-smelling fart. She leaves the stunned women in a cloud of funk, saying "Broccoli - 49 cents a pound."
